This week after posting my Treasure Chest Thursday blog about my maternal grandmother's silver spoon, I received a comment from Liz over at My Big Fat Cajun/Irish/ Scottish/English/German/ French/Southern Family Blog. Talk about a random act of kindness....she was actually able to tell me the name of the Gorham pattern of the spoon.
I was sooo excited to receive this information. It was the frosting on the cake for me and that info finished my blog.
If you haven't visited Liz, use the link above and have a look-see. I love her easy, fun style of writing. There are scanned photos and documents to enhance each blog AND she is a contributor at Find A Grave. We cemetery walkers have to stick together!
THANK YOU LIZ

You're very welcome! I had not been following your blog (I am now though), but I love reading all the Treasure Chest Thursday posts, and when I saw your photo, I thought, "Oh, that's Gorham Buttercup" because my sister has the same pattern. It's obviously been around a while--a classic.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the shoutout--I feel like I got a "Follow Saturday" mention! :)
