Guardian Bond
Know all men by these presents That we,
Jessie VanGilder and Sampson Pool are held and firmly bound unto the State of West Virginia in the penal sum of two hundred dollars which will and truly to be paid, we bind ourselves, our heirs etc jointly and severally, firmly by these presents.
Witness our hands and seals, this 25 day of June 1904.
The condition of the above obligation is such, that if the said Jessie VanGilder shall faithfully discharge the duties of her office of Guardian of Mary Louise VanGilder, Anna Estelle VanGilder, Sarah Margaret VanGilder and Virginia VanGilder children of George E. VanGilder, deceased, under the age of 14 years shall account for and pay over as required by law, all money which may come to her hands by virtue of said office, then this obligation is void, else to remain in full force and virtue.

What does this mean
Jessie and her father, Sampson Pool have a financial bond with the court to be the guardians of her children under the age of fourteen and if they fail they forfeit the bond paid.
